Fiona

Hi, my name is Fiona and I am a primary school teacher in west London. I am currently teaching year 3, an age group I love, and have previously taught year 4.

I came to teaching in my late twenties, I am now in my third year and haven`t looked back. I love working with children and helping them in their learning journey. Their stories, smiles and light bulb moments do inspire.

I am originally from Ireland, but am currently loving the energy London exudes and has to offer, and looking forward to the summer in the city.

Availability: Evenings and Saturday mornings.

Experience: I am an outstanding classroom teacher,in a primary school in west London. Most of my experience lies in lower key stage 2, in years 3 and 4. I am passionate about teaching and understand acutely the challenges that young children face in their learning. It is my aim each day to provide strategies to ensure children can access the learning and make progress.

I have worked as a classroom teacher for 3 years, catering for the needs of all different learners. The children in my class make solid progress, as lessons are adapted and altered to meet each individual need.

I teach all subjects on the national curriculum, however my strengths as a teacher are in teaching English and maths. I create lessons that are engaging and stimulating.
