I am a qualified Primary school teacher with over 25 years experience in the classroom and 5 years of tutoring.

I tutor children from aged 3-11 (Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2) I can help with phonics, spelling, reading, writing skills and Maths. I have experience of preparing children for the phonics test in year 1, times tables test in year 4 and SATS in year 2 and year 6 I also prepare children for 7+ and 11+ entry exams for both independent schools and Grammar schools, I have a wealth of training and experience working with children with special needs and also teaching English as an foreign Language I am happy to help your child catch up or get ahead with their learning. I am a caring teacher and am keen to help children to foster a love of learning by making lessons fun and engaging, I focus on building their confidence so that they can reach their full potential.

Availability: Weekdays, after school and on Saturdays

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have taught in both state and private schools for over twenty years, I have worked with children with a range of special needs, children whose first language is not English , as well as gifted and able children, and I believe in valuing each child and enabling them to grow in confidence.

I am patient, understanding and able to form strong relationships with children to enable them to meet their needs, whether this is to catch up, keep up or get ahead. I have a consistently strong record of improving attainment standards in reading, writing and maths
