I was born and educated in Russia. I decided to teach Math when I started my secondary school. I completed my PhD in Mathematics in 1998 and continued working in the university. I have 10 years of lecturing Math at University level in Russia and 14 years of experience working in the British educational system, at Sixth form level. Currently, I am teaching in one of the best Six Form colleges in the UK.

Availability: I am available evenings, Tuesday and Thursday mornings, Wednesday and Friday afternoons and Saturdays.

Experience: Mathematics is a beautiful science, which helps us understand the world around us through numbers and symbols. Math is not about learning formulae by heart in Geometry or Algebra. It’s ALL about solving very practical problems. I am very much in favor of the new linear A level curriculum. All my students achieved exceptional results in 2019 and 2020, because of the new techniques I use, bye explaining the point of everything they do in Mathematics and why it works. I have 10 years of lecturing Math at University level in Russia and 14 years of experience working in the British educational system, at Sixth form level. A recent student, who arrived with a B grade in GSCE Math, graduated from college with an A grade at A level, just few marks short of A*. He then went to university and achieved a First Degree in Mathematics. My aim is to help students to become independent learners and enable them to tackle difficult problems not just in Mathematics, but also in other subjects. I can teach face-to-face or remotely, using the latest technological resources as well as new textbooks across a variety of exam boards. I believe everyone can be successful in Math as long as they like the subject and are prepared to work. My approach Is to explain the interrelationships of mathematics so you have the tools and understanding to solve problems yourself. If you find math, and particular topic hard I can help.
