Hi, I have recently retired after a fulfilling career of over 10 years as a primary school teacher at an Outstanding School in Solihull. Now, with more time available, I am thrilled to offer regular support to Primary/ Early Years students as a tutor. In addition to teaching English and Maths, I also have an excellent knowledge of teaching Phonics and reading skills.

In my sessions, the main focus is to build confidence and help students address any areas where they may have gaps in their learning and understanding. I carefully prepare my lessons to ensure that students can identify their progress and feel a sense of achievement.

One of my strengths lies in creating a nurturing and friendly environment where students can build positive relationships and feel comfortable expressing themselves during my lessons. I believe that when students feel at ease, they are more likely to engage and thrive in their learning journey.

Experience: I have been tutoring children at KS1 and KS 2 in English (including reading skills) and mathematics, alongside teaching in school for 10 Years. I have a specialism working with early readers, including phonics.
