Hi! I`m Aggie and I am going onto my second year of medicine at the University of Edinburgh.

My lessons are personalized for each student, focusing first on the foundations of a topic and then building into detail. I believe that the best way to learn is when you take an active part in your studies to understand the topic and therefore be able delve above and beyond the threshold, to tackle those A* questions with confidence. That is why my 1:1`s are interactive and visual to provide a platform for curious minds to ask questions and embed knowledge more deeply.

My tutoring lessons will hand students the ability to answer exam questions effectively by learning how to initially tackle a question as well as what each question is looking for. I will also share with them the secrets of effective revision methods to enhance knowledge retention as well as to make revision just that bit more fun. These skills will prove invaluable not just for their upcoming exams but also for their future studies.

Currently I do not yet offer BMAT lessons however if you are interested in some advice for BMAT I can dedicate a section of your UKCAT lesson for this, what fraction this would be depends on your specific needs and what you hope to get from the lesson.

Experience: I have 3 years tutoring experience and focus on tutoring GCSE and A-level students.

My current GCSE student has improved from a C to an A* in Chemistry, from a D to an A in Mathematics, from a B to an A in Physics and in Biology, from a C to an A. I also have experience teaching bright young minds with ADHD and dyslexia.

I also have experience in teaching beyond tutoring. For 2 years I have been a swimming teacher for swimmers and learners aged 5-18. This has allowed me to become an energetic, patient and adaptable teacher that I bring into each of my tutoring sessions. I am also accustomed to providing parents with regular updates on their child`s progress and pointers for where they may improve in.

My communication and planning skills have been further developed through having run a scouting group in Ealing for 30 girls. My responsibilities included preparing and delivering weekly educational and fun activities as well as liaising with other branches of the organisation to organise trips and set out the learning objectives for the year. My tutoring sessions will therefore be well planned and clearly explained.

I sat both BMAT and UKCAT in 2019. I was in the 93rd percentile in my UKCAT and achieved the scores 6.1, 5.9 and 4A in sections 1, 2 and 3 in BMAT respectively.
