As a maths tutor I find my role is one of teacher and confidence builder. It is important my students appreciate the abilities they have in order to build on them and improve. As a teacher of GCSE mathematics I have the experience of having worked with the new syllabus since its introduction. The topics are getting harder but the students also need a better grasp of the basic skills in order to be able to adapt their knowledge in order to answer the problem solving questions. My one to one tuition can help with that and also provide early exposure to exam type questions that helps my student gain the experience they need to overcome their difficulties.
All of my lessons are bespoke and adapted for the individual needs of my students, there are many different topics under the maths umbrella and students have different and individual difficulties. Feedback from the student helps me to personalise the lessons from week to week.

Availability: Saturdays preferred. Some evening sessions might be considered.

Experience: I have been working in education now for ten years. I have worked in both secondary school and 6th form college and am currently a teacher of GCSE maths students. I have had experience of tutoring all ages of children from years 4 through to 11. I have run courses for students looking to improve their GCSE grade, for university applicants who wish to take their teacher`s numeracy qualification in order to secure their university place as well as tutoring one to one, students who wish to improve their maths skills and get their best GCSE possible.
