Information about Natalie
Hello, my name is Natalie, mummy of 1 little girl, a Cockapoo named Teddy. When I`m not teaching (or tutoring) I like to walk, cycle or just sit down and relax.
I`ve lived in Preston all of my life and have seen many changes through out the years, one of the biggest changes being how many schools have been built and all the children that go to them!
I enjoy reading and studying the new things that are capturing the attention of the young ones today and how we can use this to influence learning.
I class myself as a down to earth person with a big heart and a good sense of humour, I endeavour to put people at ease and create a positive learning environment.
Feel free to contact me regarding any issues you may want to talk through.
Availability: Evenings and Weekends. Please note, at this time when there is great need for tutors it may be necessary to pair students up. This will only be 2/3 students maximum and all leaners will be of a similar level and ability.
NOTE: I am unable to facilitate GCSE Higher Maths.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have over 20 years of teaching experience and I am constantly looking for new ways to engage students both in and out of the classroom.
I understand that revising for exams can be a stressful time and I am here to help. I can support English (KS3 and GCSE Lang and Lit), Maths (KS3 and GCSE) and specialise in IT. I have in-depth knowledge on the Macbeth, Jekyll and Hyde, Romeo and Juliet, A Christmas Carol and An Inspector Calls texts currently being studied in schools and have recent experience of supporting a student through their GCSE on these topics.
I am an enthusiastic individual who enjoys helping people and has an abundance of patience. I ensure that every learner has a positive happy experience with me and I do all I can to progress learners through their learning journey and get them ready for their exams or just increase their confidence in the classroom.
I have an awareness of many of the popular examining boards and am comfortable in translating the jargon they use.
I have taught challenging students with a range of behaviour issues and have picked up some effective teaching techniques to help overcome these issues.
I struggled in school and would like to offer help to anyone who is struggling in any aspect of learning. Looking forward to helping all ages and levels in 2021/22
