Information about Thomas
I recently obtained a Masters in Mathematical Sciences from Durham University and graduated with a First Class Honours bachelor’s degree in Mathematics. I have been tutoring maths, at various levels for a few years and have most experience with students from secondary school to A-Level. For A-level maths, my particular tutoring strengths are in the pure and mechanics modules. I thoroughly enjoy tutoring and seeing students achieve an understanding of a topic they previously found difficult. While at Durham, I also did some voluntary maths tutoring for children struggling with the subject, which was most rewarding. I am happy to tutor face-face or online.

Experience: I have tutored mathematics to students of different abilities from primary level to A-level (the mechanics and pure modules). My lessons are designed around the needs and requirements of the student.

Thomas is a very patient, positive tutor, who can always see the bright side of a situation. When I first came to him I was struggling to even get a D or C in my papers which I sat at the end of each topic. Even with this in mind, Thomas was able to highlight my strong points in order to boost my confidence, something which is essential when it comes to success. Now that I have spent some time with Thomas I have been consistently getting Bs and am hopefully on track to get an A in my A levels in the summer. Thomas was always able to find alternative methods to teach me areas of the course which I wasn`t able to understand in the way that my teachers taught me, and these methods gave me more confidence that I was able to answer questions. In summary , I would recommend Thomas to any student who is taking maths A level with any level of confidence, as he can help to build you up and make you realise your potential.
