I am a deeply passionate tutor of English Literature and Language, who can also help with Latin and any form of academic writing, including essays. I possess a wealth of experience, having had the privilege to work with a great variety of students from all over the world - from secondary school to university and beyond to adults. I work with kindness, warmth and patience, treating each student as an individual to inspire them with confidence and bring out their latent abilities. I love passing on my knowledge and understanding to students of all ages and abilities, and consider working with them a true pleasure.

I have been tutoring since Sixth Form, and understand that every student has dramatically different needs. They may already be academically able, or they may lack confidence in the classroom. Getting to know them as individuals allows me to give them help uniquely tailored to their character. I can speak multiple languages, including Japanese, Italian and Latin, as well as Middle and Old English, and enjoy literature from many different cultures. I use what I know to ensure that my students gain a deep and full understanding of English, in the hope that they value it not only as an academic subject, but also as a fundamental and wonderful part of their everyday lives.

Humanities: English Literature, English Language, Latin

Academic Writing: For many students, one of the greatest challenges is expressing themselves through the written word. I am able to help with essays and other forms of writing from secondary school level all the way through to university and beyond. Whether you would simply like your work proofread, or to work together with me to improve your style, I will be happy to help.

Where Do I Teach?

I currently teach online, and work with students in the United Kingdom or anywhere else in the world.

What Do I Charge?

I charge £35 per hour.

Experience: I have been tutoring English Literature and Language since Sixth Form, where I began helping my peers, as well as pupils younger than myself, in all aspects of the subjects. At that point I was overseeing Gifted and Talented classes for GCSE students in my school, and seeing a small number of private clients alongside running revision sessions for fellow Sixth Formers. I carried tutoring into my time at university, and have continued tutoring privately in a number of additional subjects since then whilst following other pursuits.

BA Hons. in English with Japanese from the University of Exeter

A Levels in English Literature (A), English Language (A), Media Studies (A), Drama and Theatre Studies (A), Biology (B) from The Crypt Grammar School

Work Experience:

In addition to tutoring, I also work as a freelance writer, voice actor and life model.
