Information about Benjamin

Passionate medical student keen to help young people excel at both school and admissions exams by encouraging a code of diligence and enthusiasm.

Hello! My name is Benjamin, I`m a Year 3 UCL medical student and very keen to help young people excel at school and to develop a breadth of interest beyond the traditional criteria for success. I have recent experience of the education system as well as with children.

I am aware what formative and challenging years school can be and I derive great satisfaction from being able to support young people to excel during this period. Having benefitted from the help of assiduous teachers I understand the benefits of good tuition and I`m keen to pass on what valuable lessons and resources I was able to acquire. I value curiosity and enthusiasm and I promise to do my very best to help students meet their goals. I have recently begun tutoring in the anatomy laboratory to year 1 and 2 undergrads, which I thoroughly enjoy.

I am currently intercalating in the History and Philosophy of Science and Medicine, my personal interests lie in the middle ground between medicine and social science and I hope to pursue a career in Psychiatry and Bioethics. At UCL, I lead a strong team as President of the Global Health society. I also work as a Clinical Support Worker at Doctors of the World in Stratford. I am learning French and alto saxophone and I have ambitions to learn Python in the coming year.

I have a strong and longstanding record of academic and extracurricular success and I hold a valid DBS certificate which I am happy to share with you. I am happy to offer a free first lesson and/or meet for coffee at a time to suit your convenience.

I run a website, wernickesarea , which I encourage you to visit and read my writing. Please get in touch !

* I am happy to offer a discounted rate to lower income families
