I have 12 years experience teaching in school from age 3 - 11. Having recently left primary education I am now a self employed tutor and freelance horse riding instructor.
I am passionate about teaching and take pride in the achievements of my students. I adapt my teaching to suit the learning style of your child and fully believe that children learn most while they are having fun. Tutor sessions typically will involve learning new skills with opportunities to practice and apply those skills in fun and practical ways. The pace of lessons will be designed to suit the ability of your child with the aim always to develop true understanding.
I am happy to travel to you although this will incur a charge for mileage, or for your child to come to my home. Alternatively we can tutor remotely using zoom or Microsoft teams.
I am friendly with a kind but firm approach and very, very patient!!!

Availability: I am available weekdays and evenings including during the school holidays.

Lots of experience working with children with special educational needs - in particular autism
In depth understanding of phonics and reading/ spelling skills.
In more recent years I have supported many students through GCSE maths and sciences with all achieving the grades they deserve.
