Information about Tina
Tina is a qualified singing, piano and music theory teacher. She has enjoyed teaching privately and in schools as well as giving recitals and working as a musical director with an adult choir. After having gained a PGCE from Sussex University and a 1st class BA(Hons) in Music from University of Chichester, she is currently studying at the David Seligman Opera School at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama.

Experience: Tina believes that it is important to be a teacher-performer in order to inspire pupils and talk from your own experience. She regularly performs in recitals and operas, therefore she is prepared to give the best advice on a variety of aspects which surround performing.
Tina has enjoyed performing internationally throughout the United Kingdom and Europe including Latvian National Opera, Riga Cathedral, Latvian Society House, Chichester Cathedral, Agios Petros Dominikanon, Greece and many others.
Recent operatic roles include Conversa and Seconda Cercatrice (Suor Angelica) with Minotaur Opera. At University of Chichester, Tina enjoyed performing a number of roles, especially Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro), Police Sergeant (The Pirates of Penzance) and Casilda (Gondoliers). Tina has performed Meg (Falstaff), Dorothée (Cendrillon), Cherubino (Le nozze di Figaro) and Secretary (The Consul) in opera scenes at RWCMD. At AIMS she performed Tisbe (La Cenerentola) and Third Witch (Macbeth) as operatic excerpts.
Tina has taken part in courses with British Youth Opera, Melofonetica, Jackdaws, Morley College, AIMS, Abingdon and many others.
Tina begun her music education in Latvia which has strong musical traditions and a very high standard of music education. She has a unique approach to teaching, having studied subjects such as Music Improvisation and Music Therapy, which has added a creative dimension to her strong theoretical background.
