Hi, I`m Alex. I have been a primary school teacher for the last 10 years in London and abroad. I love to travel and have always enjoyed learning about new cultures and try to instil a love of the world with all the children I teach. Building trust alongside positive reinforcement is a style I have used throughout my teaching career with excellent results. Children take more ownership of themselves and their learning when they feel safe and supported, therefore building a good rapport with each child is fundamental to success, not just academically but socially as well.
I have high standards but have always reminded the children I have taught that we all learn at different speeds and how often making mistakes, helps us to learn.
I have taught children with EAL and SEN and can adapt teaching as I am dyslexic myself and have studied Neurodiversity.
I am based between Streatham and Winchester and can tutor face to face or online.
My original degree is in Music so can also teach guitar and ukulele.

Availability: Weekdays and weekends.
