Information about Maariyah

I, coming from Hackney - an area with below average grades and progression into higher education - reaped the benefits when universities visited my area/college, helping us and the younger students in the area with our work and encouraging us to work our hardest so that we may be successful. I too would like to be one of these student ambassadors that inspire curiosity and a willingness to learn and feed the interest of bright young minds.
I am a Medicine (MbChb) student and hope to help others embark on similar STEM subjects.

Worked as a substitute teacher at an evening school for children teaching Arabic strengthening my confidence and interpersonal skills.

Part of a team that organises charity events, fundraising for third world countries showcasing my public speaking skill, ability to engage and deliver information and deal wit any imminent issues quickly
