Information about Franklin
Fully qualified and post graduation in education(PGCE),currently teaching at one of the Catholic Secondary School. However, due to my previous qualification, I am also qualified to teach Science.
As a private tutor, I realised how rewarding the teacher profession could be. Each week, as I worked with different students, I saw the impact and power of education. By modifying lessons to ensure that individual needs were met in ways that were challenging but meaningful, watching students gain confidence and success in skills in areas of previous weakness, and interacting with them, I decided to take the step to become a trainee teacher.
Prior to becoming a trainee teacher, I worked in the Hospitality industry. Yet, even though I enjoyed what I did, I did not feel as proud of my work as I did when I was volunteering as a tutor or when I became a tutor. I have always helped people: through Charity work, volunteering, helping those in need. However, I felt that something was missing. Then, I began to work as Private tutor. I realised that the passion that I have for learning, for helping, for mentoring and to take on challenges could be fulfilled as a teacher. It is a gift and a privilege to help children while helping them to gain the skills that will help them become productive citizens and community members.
When I became a trainee teacher and observed the high standards at Two of the Catholic Schools in London , I had an epiphany. I didnt want to just be a teacher, I wanted to be a great teacher. I dont want to be the person that just does what needs to be done in the classroom. I want to be the person that shows that, when combined, hard work and passion lead to success. First, I will create a stimulating and safe environment for the students to ensure that they are not only challenged, but in a comfortable place where even a failure can be turned into a lesson. I will also make sure that the work will be differentiated to ensure that the needs of each student in met, while following the curriculum. I will also take the time to learn about my students so that I can instinctively determine what needs to be done to ensure their success. Lessons should have a many activities and also vary to ensure that students remain engaged.

Teaching year 11 GCSE maths Frank is a wonderful teacher and having maths lessons with him has boosted my sons confidence in maths enormously. Frank is calm, polite, organized, friendly and professional. He targets the areas where my son struggles and gives clear explanations, advice and tips which my son can apply at school. My son leaves every class full of positivity and confidence. We are delighted to have found such a thoughtful and dedicated tutor.

Amazing tutor. My daughter felt comfortable with him from day 1. He really seems to care and it shows unlike some other tutors I have had the misfortune to meet through this site. Mrs Patel
