BA Hons in English Language and English Literature

I have been working at a secondary school in Tower Hamlets for the last 4 years, working up to becoming Deputy Head of Faculty for English and Modern Foreign Languages. Currently employed as an English Teacher at a prestigious grammar school.

Last year, seven of my students achieved Level 9s in English.

I have extensive experience teaching at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 level. Examiner for AQA exam papers, and have attended CPD sessions held by AQA.

Availability: Available weekdays after school and in the evenings, with the exception of Friday and Saturday.

Willing to travel: 50 miles

Experience: I have experience of providing in-depth coverage of the AQA GCSE curriculum for all abilities. My specialism lies in Power and Conflict poetry; Shakespeare`s "Macbeth", "Othello", "Romeo and Juliet", "A Midsummer Night`s Dream", "King Lear" and "Hamlet"; "A Christmas Carol"; "The Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde"; and "An Inspector Calls".
