I am a CELTA qualified English teacher who teaches children and adult learners of English as a foreign/second language at beginner, elementary and intermediate levels.
As an experienced tutor and someone who is also learning a new language, I have a good understanding of the process of learning a language from the perspective of the learner.

Each learner is unique in the way they acquire and implement what they’ve learnt, and so I am able to use my knowledge of different learning styles and will use a variety of techniques to ensure that the learner is able to achieve their best.

As well as introducing new vocabulary, I will teach and fine-tune grammar, pronunciation and ensure that the learner is able to utilise what they’ve learnt in everyday situations. I will do this through speaking, reading, listening and writing practice exercises.

I consider myself to be an optimist and believe that it, combined with my enthusiasm and commitment to each student, is pivotal in the delivery of my lessons.

I will travel to your home or wherever you feel comfortable having the lessons (within reasonable proximity of where I live).

Availability: Wednesday mornings and afternoons, weekday evenings and any time over the weekend. I have the flexibility to provide varying days and times on a weekly basis, should tutees have other commitments.
