I am an English Teacher, currently Head of English, with over ten years of experience teaching English Language and English Literature to students between the ages of 11-18; from KS3 all the way through to A Level. I love helping students to achieve their dream results and pride myself on being able to help students develop a love for the subject through my passion, knowledge, and experience.

I have been a teacher, and privately tutored, for over ten years and began my career as Teaching Assistant; because of this I have a deep understanding of how effective and important 1:1 support and guidance is. on the way, I have gained experience as a GCSE examiner for a major UK examination board, gaining insider knowledge and understanding on how best to tackle challenging exams. Within my capacity as a school and subject lead, I have developed a deep understanding of what makes students tick, and have developed a range of strategies and tips for helping students to refine their exam technique, revise properly, and improve their subject knowledge through practice.

Perhaps my greatest skill, is in getting students to develop a love for the subject, helping them to: improve their creative writing technique, employ their imaginations more effectively, understand the complexity of Shakespeare, or manage their time more effectively in pressure situations.

Put simply, I love my subject, and I love teaching!
