I am a friendly and motivated Teacher of French and Spanish with a genuine passion for helping people succeed in languages. I bring energy, creativity, and a student-centred approach to the classroom, using real-life contexts and interactive strategies to build confidence and competency. I am committed to high standards, positive relationships, and delivering clear progress, while creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment where all students feel able to take risks and communicate. Alongside school teaching, I offer tailored one-to-one tutoring through online platforms to support individual learning needs for academic or social students.
I have a degree in French and Spanish and fluent proficiency in both languages.

I am motivated by seeing others improve and succeed. In a world where so often the default is to sneer and mock, my happiness comes from encouraging and inspiring people.

I have a library of resources to enable my students to expand and improve across all areas of the exam: Listening, Reading, Writing and Speaking. I use the student’s classwork and completed mock exams in order to assess the student’s ability and areas for focus. Throughout sessions, we will complete exercises and practice questions, building up exam techniques and advancing the student’s knowledge. Where appropriate I will challenge a student to push towards higher grades, using extended tenses and vocabulary in Speaking and Writing practice. I like to make sessions both fun and focused for the student, allowing a less tense environment than a classroom, whilst giving memorable methods to learn the content. I do give homework to the student, however this will be a manageable amount of work based off what we cover in sessions, as I am aware schools have a tendency to give lots of homework!

I have availability to tutor in person and online daytimes or evenings. Please see my weekly updated availability for exact timings on offer. For face-to-face tuition I can cover postcodes within HD9, HD8, HD7, HD6 and HD5 across Huddersfield area, West Yorkshire. My session rates are detailed in enquiries and bookings.

- Lead curriculum planning for Year 7 and 8 Spanish, with a focus on progression, accessibility, and real enjoyment of language learning.
- Provide thoughtful and helpful marking and feedback that helps pupils understand how to improve and feel motivated to do so.
- Create and share high-quality departmental resources, working collaboratively to support a wide range of abilities.
- Highly organised, with strong medium-term planning skills, mapping learning
over 7–8 week cycles while meeting internal deadlines.
- Build strong, positive relationships with pupils and colleagues through a calm, kind, and approachable manner.
- Contribute actively as a team player, supporting department planning and sharing good practice.
