Mary is providing excellent support in understanding how best to use the German language and we have mainly focussed on the grammatical elements required as opposed to `learning by parrot fashion`, which is a particular hatred of mine.
My experience so far is that Mary has coped very well with teaching an older student that has lived and worked in Germany for a number of years and already `speaks` German badly, but well enough to be understood.
My goal is to correct the repeated errors that apply and improve in both written and spoken forms and Mary is addressing both of those elements well and with great patience.
My hope is that, once some basics are sufficiently corrected we can progress at a greater pace to improve in all areas, but the most important point is that the learning process is fun and never feels like a chore.
