NOT TAKING NEW STUDENTS AT PRESENT


I am a qualified English teacher within Further Education with experience in both schools and colleges.

I am passionate about teaching English to students from a variety of backgrounds and ages I currently teach students aged 14 to 52!


I offer English tuition from entry level Functional Skills up to GCSE, including the new 0-9 specification.

It is very important that students feel comfortable and motivated in their lessons. I am approachable and friendly and ensure I tailor lessons to meet the needs of my students whilst also considering their wider uses of literacy practices and interests, bringing these into the lesson where possible to make it fun!

I offer an initial session at the usual session cost to meet with students, find out their learning goals and reasons for studying English. I also complete an assessment to ascertain the student`s writing level to give us something to work from. Then I work with students to tailor a learning plan and targets to work towards.

Availability: I am currently unable to take any further students.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: My experience consists of two and a half years training and teaching within Further Education colleges, as well as some short-term secondary roles.

I teach Functional Skills and the new 0-9 GCSE English Language specification. I work with school-aged students and adult learners.
