Information about Oliver
I am a civil servant working on digital inclusion strategy at the Ministry of Justice. I am a qualified secondary maths teacher who can teach up to A-Level. I was born in London, spent most of my life in the North, moved to Birmingham and wound up back here. I like film, books and pub quizzes, and I`m a Liverpool fan.
Availability: I work full-time so I`m available only evenings or weekends. Monday or Tuesday evenings or Sundays are ideal, but I could potentially make other evenings work with enough notice.
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I hold a secondary maths PGCE (Birmingham City University, TeachFirst, 2017).
I taught secondary maths for two years in a school in Birmingham. I had full responsibility for 5 classes between years 7 and 11, as well as a form. I taught A-Level maths for 2 months on secondment.
As well as being a qualified maths teacher, I studied English at university (2:1, BA) and I would feel confident tutoring in this subject.
