Annabelle

Hi! I’m Annabelle. I currently study Medicine at UCL and am entering my third year to undertake an integrated bachelors (iBsc) in Surgical Sciences. I am a hard-working, organised individual with an interest in education/teaching and a love of science. Outside of my degree, I enjoy cooking, running, cycling, swimming and generally, just trying new things!

I completed my A-Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, achieving A* in all three subjects. I also scored highly in my GCSEs, with grade 9 in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Maths, English Literature and Language, Music and Art.

My lessons are aimed at secondary school students (11-18 years), including GCSE and A-level exam preparation.

I utilise a range of different learning techniques including mindmaps, flashcards, discussions and practice questions - the lesson is personalised to what is most effective for the student. Depending on the school year of the student, I can also provide guidance with exam preparations, creating revision timetables and adapting the lessons as necessary in the lead up to exams.

Experience: I find it extremely rewarding and exciting to teach and mentor students, especially in the Sciences. Having grown up with several younger siblings, I have experience working with children of all ages.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I volunteered remotely with Project Rousseau, helping US college students with their Chemistry studies.
