Information about Lewis
Hi, my name`s Lewis and I know maths tutoring improves a students understanding and grade first hand as I was tutored and a tutor myself during college. We`ve all been there where we`re stuck on a question for ages with no answers in sight, then the teacher comes over and in a matter of minutes you know exactly how to find the answer and how to tackle the next question along. I want to be that person who points you in the right direction when you`re stuck and shows you the best way to recall those lessons when you need them.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: . I`m the oldest of 4 siblings, so I have patience, maturity and a great respect for my responsibilities.
. At school I was Head Boy in my final year, meaning it was my responsibility to lead a team of students in planning social events such as prom, charity fundraisers and the royal opening of our (at the time new) academy. This position entailed leadership, financing, compassion as well as a need to lean from others in order to teach.
. I`ve worked within college as a maths tutor in my second year to year one students struggling with maths, so I have experience tutoring as well as being invited into the program by my tutors as a suitable candidate.
. I was part of the Access Project where I was tutored by university graduate maths tutors for two years in preparation for my exams. not only do I know first hand that tutoring greatly increases a students understanding of a subject, but I`ve also learned the professional conductance of successful tutors which I use to full effect in my sessions.
. I`m predicted an A in a-level maths and I am certain of its permanence in my C.V. come this August.
