Hello, I achieve results by asking my students open, targeted questions that encourage full answers and setting work at the right level, building their self-confidence. I listen carefully, to ensure that I understand where students need help and I consistently assess their progress to plan next steps, so that we stay focused on the most important areas. I motivate students by noticing and working with their strengths and I am an excellent communicator, who is able to show sensitivity and understanding. This helps me to build rapport with students and to ensure progress through understanding exactly where to help.

Experience: I am a fully qualified teacher and English tutor, with 8 years experience teaching KS1 to KS4. I have an excellent knowledge of the full primary and secondary English curriculum and of teaching methods that work for a wide range of ages and abilities, including students who are ahead and students with SEND. My students achieve excellent results in their SATs, 11+ and GCSE exams.
