My name is Adriana and I am Brazilian. I believe that setting yourself to learn a language is an exciting yet scary challenge. New words, lack of time, so many things get in the way... Everything contributes to the feeling that you won`t be able to do it.
I`ve been teaching for over 24 years, and have taught people from all walks of life. I try to make every lesson meaningful for each student, be it in a group or on a 1:1 lesson.

My methodology comprises the use of communicative techniques and a wealth of activities, and I can assure you that you will be speaking Portuguese, and sooner than you think. Add to that reading that is relevant to you, listening pieces that will improve your comprehension skills and writing what you think is necessary for your learning targets.

Besides teaching, I am the co-founder of Lusofonia Oxford, an organisation that promotes engagement between the Portuguese and English speaking communities. We are the only ones offering Portuguese tuition and cultural experiences in Oxfordshire with a personalised approach and by qualified and engaging teachers.

Part of our work now extends to offering language maintenance and continuity. We partnered with Brazilian teachers currently living in Brazil to proportionate virtual language lounge experiences to all who want to chat in Portuguese and learn more about the culture and day to day living there.
