Information about Mark

I have over 30 years experience of teaching A level and GCSE Economics. I am a Senior Examiner for A level Economics with AQA and Edexcel and am also an examiner for OCR and the IB in Economics. This gives me an insight in to the setting and marking of the examinations that you will be sitting. I can therefore support you in preparing for your examinations and provide tips on exam technique that will help you to maximise your marks in the various papers. I have done this very successfully for students helping them to jump by several grades. I am also a trainer of teachers for the new Economics specifications so am very familiar with the new courses. For 25 years of my teaching career I was Head of Economics departments and therefore I know the subject content very well.
I have a track record of SUCCESS with A level and GCSE students having tutored now for three years and having taught in three different secondary schools.
Location is not a problem as I have successfully tutored using Skype, including a student in China.
OFSTED have always graded my Economics lessons as Good to Outstanding.
I look forward to working with you to improve your grade and to increase your interest in this fascinating subject.
I can offer high quality one to one tutoring for the entire A level or GCSE course, for individual units, or for exam preparation.
I have a degree (BSc. Hons.) in Economics and Politics. I have a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). I have a Masters degree from Bath University and a PhD in Education.
I charge £40 per hour.

Availability: I am available on any day between the hours of 10am and 7pm apart from Saturday and Sunday when I am available from 9am - 12.
