Information about Nyveka

Hello, I am currently a 3rd year Medical student at Queen Mary University of London and a First-Class Biomedical Sciences graduate.

I have always enjoyed Sciences and I am looking forward to sharing my passion with students through tutoring.

Drawing from both my personal experience as a dedicated student and a tutor for over five years, I`ve come to recognise that the path to academic excellence is more than just memorisation and understanding. It relies on the ability to effectively apply acquired knowledge.

To optimise the effectiveness of my teaching approach and enhance my student`s confidence and enthusiasm, I employ a personalised method (see below).

My aim is to ensure the students have thorough understanding of the subjects so, that they become confident and acquire the best learning habits to achieve their full potential.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

Drawing from both my personal experience as a dedicated student and a tutor for over five years, I`ve come to recognise that the path to academic excellence is more than just memorisation and understanding. It relies on the ability to effectively apply acquired knowledge. In my teaching practice, I emphasise this by encouraging students to articulate concepts back to me, priotise familisarising them with exam-style inquiries and offering constructive feedback to parents on a regular basis to fascilitate continous improvement.

To optimise the effectiveness of my teaching approach and enhance my student`s confidence and enthusiasm, I employ a personalised method. I actively seek input from my students, allowing them to express their preferences regarding lesson topics thereby tailoring the curriculum to their individual needs. I also encourage questions to be asked to provide an opportunity for clarification and deeper understanding.

Personalised Methods include:

Students having complete control regarding the topic they want to learn

Provision of supplementary materials that can help support students: work books and work sheets

Regular monitoring of progress through topic tests

Establishing achievable goals for tutoring sessions

Detailed report cards on topics that need more focus on post mock

Personalised timetable closer to exam season outlining revision and mock exam dates

Nyveka is currently tutoring our daughter in both GCSE Biology and Chemistry. She is doing a wonderful job in teaching in a way that is both accessible and right for our daughter. She says that Nyveka is kind and supportive, and is really clear in what she is teaching. She feels she has already learnt more from Nyveka in the last few weeks than from her teacher at school! We are grateful for Nyveka`s support and also for her flexibility and feedback enabling us to also help our daughter at home. Would highly recommend.
