I am a full time English teacher in a mixed Comprehensive. I studied English Literature at University and have a passion for making the texts accessible and engaging.
Availability: Evenings after 16:30 and weekends before 13:00
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have taught English for many years and focus on a range of strategies to help students understand the exam. I have a great deal of experience pushing students through the grades which come from understanding the mark scheme. I have taught CCEA, Edexcel and AQA.I focus on making sure the student understands the exam and knows the skills necessary, as the exam is challenging and have a very variable mark scheme it is important to understand what the question requires you to do. I have marked professionally for CCEA and use this information to support my students I am patient and use modelling to support. I have had years of teaching KS3 and know how to embed key skills to excel at GCSE .
