I graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2020 (History BA) with a final grade of a high 2.1. I am able to tutor a variety of subjects at various levels, and also have experience in providing applications guidance to those interested in studying history related degrees at university.

Experience: I have tutored many students online in English Language GCSE; I have an excellent understanding of the various exam boards and have a proven record at improving the confidence and skillset of my tutees.

I was an English Language teacher at a Summer Camp in Beijing in July-August 2019. My role was to teach British Parliamentary debating skills to a class of 10-13 year old Chinese students with the objective of improving their proficiency in English. I created and delivered my own lesson plans, conveying complex ideas across a linguistic barrier with careful focus to communicate my learning objectives to them as effectively as possible. The role required intense interaction with the students for up to 12 hours per day and improved my teaching and oral communication skills.

Moreover, whilst studying at Cambridge I was an access mentor for a student from a disadvantaged background who was interested in applying to Oxbridge. The student shadowed me for a week during term to gain an insight into what the life of a history undergraduate at Cambridge was like, and I provided him with detailed advice about navigating the application process.
