Information about Rawan
I am a medical student and parallel to that, I teach Japanese and Arabic for students of all ages.
I am currently working as a bilingual interpreter with DA Languages.
I have been working for Medify for around 3 years now and can offer help with teaching and providing techniques to approach the UCAT exam, which I am an expert on.
Availability: I am available on most weekdays and weekends.
Willing to travel: 20 miles
Experience: I have been teaching Arabic to both children and adults for over 3 years.
Rather than adopting a single perspective for second language learning, I use aspects from 3 different approaches: the Grammar Translation Method (GTM), the Audiolingual Method (ALM) and Communicative Language Teaching (CLT).
If the student does not have a specific curriculum to learn, I choose it for them based on their level, purpose of learning the language, and whether they wish to learn a specific dialect or Modern Standard Arabic.
I believe that learning a language must be fun so I tend to use conversations as well as songs to link grammar and new vocabulary learnt to real-life conversations. I also include the cultural aspect associated with the language as it helps a lot to make links and better understand the background of the language. However, whether to include the cultural and/or the religious aspects is entirely up to the student/parent.
My students can pick up Arabic in a relatively short time as long as they are dedicated. The Arabic language is not difficult to comprehend or learn as long as there is a willingness to learn, study, and perfect it.

Rawan is an expert tutor on UCAT with a wealth of insight and experience. She is systematic in teaching all the requirements of the test. She is completely reliable, always encouraging and willing to go the extra mile in supporting my daughter in the run-up to the exam.
