I am a qualified actuary, who recently left my role as Head of Strategy at a global insurer to pursue my twin passions - teaching and mathematics.
For me, maths is not just a tool, but more like a language. It can be used to describe our world, beyond the dimensions which we can perceive.
I like to share this approach to mathematics with my students, developing their enjoyment of mathematics, rather than just teaching them to pass exams.
