Information about William
Hi! I am a Cambridge University law graduate.
At A Level, I studied History (A*), Philosophy (A) and Maths (A). At AS in addition to those above, I studied Further Maths. I completed an Extended Project for which I got an A*.
WHAT I CAN OFFER
Maths, History or Philosophy up to A Level.
Maths History or Philosophy GCSE, including Further Maths GCSE.
UCAS applications, particularly Oxbridge - I can help with personal statements, and even give mock interviews.
I work as a sailing instructor so have lots of experience teaching young children through to adults. I was a successful tutor at my secondary school, and helped younger students with their work. I also helped my friends during our A level courses, making revision resources for them. I will share any revision resources with students.
I know what makes a good history essay, and how to analyse source questions. I know the intricacies of Descartes and Kant, and how to write a good Philosophy answer. I have a passion for maths and have developed a great methodical approach.
Additionally, I successfully sat an 11+ so would be happy to tutor this too.
Please get in touch. I am flexible with timing.
Willing to travel: 20 miles
Experience: I have experience online mentoring - having been a tutor before. I am also currently mentoring 2 aspiring Oxbridge candidates through their applications, improving their personal statements, LNAT scores, and interview technique.
I have over 250 hours experience as a sailling instructor teaching a wide range of people - from children to adults, from small groups to large. This has enabled me to develop both my communication as an instructor and my organisation to plan effective and engaging lessons.
