Information about Adam

Education and mentorship have always been central to my life. Coming from a family deeply rooted in tutoring and academia, I’ve grown up surrounded by a passion for learning and a commitment to helping others reach their full potential. I hold a qualifying law degree in Anthropology and Law from the London School of Economics and a Master’s in Politics and Economics of the Middle East from King’s College London. My academic voyage has given me a broad understanding of the humanities — from history, law, and politics to economics and philosophy — and allows me to teach and inspire students from 11+ through to university level. Before university, I attended The John Lyon School, part of the Harrow Foundation, where I was awarded a sports scholarship. Alongside my studies, I competed as a national swimmer, experiences that instilled in me discipline, focus, and resilience — qualities that continue to guide me in my professional life. Beyond academia, I am an experienced public speaker and have delivered talks to audiences of over 300 people at Talks on the Hill. Public speaking has allowed me to share ideas and stories that connect with people, something I also strive to do in my teaching. Today, I’m deeply passionate about education and driven by purpose. My approach to tutoring is rooted in empathy, structure, and inspiration — I don’t just aim to help students meet their target grades, but to cultivate in them a genuine curiosity for the world and confidence in their own abilities. For me, teaching is more than a profession; it’s a lifelong commitment to helping others learn, grow, and achieve their full potential.

Experience: I have accumulated several years of experience tutoring students across a range of humanities subjects, with a particular focus on GCSE and A-Level History. My approach blends academic rigour with an engaging and accessible teaching style, helping students not only to master content but also to think critically and articulate ideas with confidence. I take pride in supporting students through their public examinations, often helping them surpass their target grades and develop a genuine appreciation for the subject. Alongside this, I have also taught Middle Eastern Studies at university level, working with undergraduate students to deepen their understanding of the region’s politics, economics, and historical development. This experience has allowed me to combine my academic expertise with my passion for mentoring, guiding students through complex themes and helping them build strong analytical, essay-writing, and research skills. My teaching philosophy is rooted in patience, clarity, and purpose — ensuring that every student feels supported, challenged, and inspired to achieve their full potential.
