Information about Paige
I have conducted over thousands of hours of successful tutoring sessions with a range of students with different abilities and needs. I hold a QTS in Secondary Mathematics and have worked with year groups from Year 2 - Year 11. All sessions are conducted online but have many interactive elements to ensure students are engaged and enjoy their sessions.
My reviews and feedback comment on how engaging and interactive my sessions are. I have a younger brother and sister (aged 16 and 18) and being the eldest sibling is really what pushed me into teaching and tutoring. Being a young adult myself I find it easy to get on and connect with the students I work with. I am a bubbly individual and have always prided myself in how interactive my lessons are. I work with an interactive whiteboard, set meaningful follow up work and really help students with their confidence in maths. All the year 11s that have just sat their exams made at least 1 grade progress in just 4 months with me.
Before switching to tutoring full time, I worked as an academic mentor. I worked predominately with year 11 students from January to exams. All the students I worked with had been excluded from school. I supported these students academically across all subjects and provided emotional support while they navigated their feelings about the situation. Once they went on study leave for exams, I worked with students with behavioural issues. These included students on reduced timetables and those who found themselves in isolation frequently. I built strong relationships with these students and a lot of the students requested only to work with me. During this period, I worked with a couple of students who would come to my room if they could not deal with the classroom environment or if they needed to cool off. I also provided support in the SEMH room once a week where I worked with students with a variety of Social, Emotional and Mental Health issues. This included helping children deal with their anxiety in a safe space. During my time training to be a teacher, and my term as full-time teacher, I worked with numerous students with SEN needs. These include, but are not limited too, dyslexia, autism, ADHD, EAL, anxiety, chronic illness and developmental delay.
In summary, I have experience working with a diverse range of pupils from all different abilities, ages and needs. One method does not fit all, which is why I tailor and personalise my sessions to ensure that each individual makes progress. Whether you are looking for sessions to understand basic maths, maths for life, functional skills, or aiming to take a GCSE maths, I can help your child achieve their goals. All sessions are conducted online using tools to ensure the sessions are interactive and engaging. If you would like to know more about my sessions or, arrange an initial phone call to discuss in detail how I can help your child, then drop me a message.

Experience: I have extensive experience working with students of diverse abilities and ages, ranging from primary level to functional skills and GCSE, spanning the age range of 7 to 31. Throughout my career, I have successfully supported students with various needs, including those with SEND, SEMH, undiagnosed SEND, permanently excluded individuals, students within special schools, mainstream students, and even those who are home educated. As a result, I possess exceptional skills in catering to the unique requirements of any student.
I bring a personalised approach to tutoring, tailoring my lessons to meet the specific needs of each student. By utilising a combination of engaging teaching methods, interactive activities, and customised learning materials, I strive to make each session enjoyable and impactful.

Paige has been wonderful with my 10 year old son. We find ourselves in a tricky spot being stranded in the UK and unable to get home to America for an unknown period of time. Trying to create some kind of routine for my son is essential, especially given he has ADHD and thrives on structure and routine. I was keen to ensure he receives some kind of patchwork education to fill the gap and Paige has been amazing at tutoring Toby in math. She has sourced what American curriculum she can and is ensuring my son does not fall behind 5th grade (UK Year 6) while we are in the UK. I was incredibly impressed Paige wanted to chat ahead of the trial session, explain how she worked and what Toby could expect. This was so helpful when explaining to him what was going to happen in the lesson. Toby LOVES his lessons with Paige, which is amazing considering how challenging he found remote learning during the Pandemic. Thank you Paige!
