I am an experienced lecturer and tutor with over 10 years of teaching experience in Accounting, Economics, Business Studies, and English support. I currently work as a lecturer in the UK and have supported students from school level to higher education.
My teaching approach is simple, structured, and student-centred, focusing on building strong foundations, confidence, and exam skills. I specialise in helping students who find learning difficult, including adult learners and beginners, by using clear explanations, practical examples, and personalised guidance.

Experience: I am a qualified and experienced educator with over 10 years of teaching and academic experience in Accounting, Economics, Business Studies, and Management. I currently work as a Lecturer in Business Management in the UK, where I teach Levels 3 to 7, lead modules, design assessments, and support students’ academic progress while maintaining high quality and standards.
Before moving to the UK, I worked for several years as a secondary school teacher in top-ranked international schools in Sri Lanka, teaching Cambridge O-Level and A-Level Accounting, Economics, and Business Studies. I prepared students for public examinations using structured lesson plans, personalised support, and exam-focused techniques, achieving strong pass rates and university progression.
I also have experience teaching international and adult learners, supporting students who need extra help with understanding concepts, confidence building, reading, and writing. My background as a trained accountant (with professional experience at Ernst & Young) allows me to connect theory with real-world examples, making learning practical and meaningful for students.
My teaching style is patient, clear, and supportive, with a strong focus on helping students truly understand subjects rather than memorising content.
