Information about Ben
Hello, my name is Ben and I have taught privately and publicly at all levels for around 7 years. Currently I am a part-time lecturer at the Uni. of Glos. on the Religion, Philosophy and Ethics course. I am also a tutor for the WEA for whom I write, teach and develop courses. Prior to this I have mentored year 9-10 pupils in schools around Gloucester and way back trained as a secondary school RE teacher.
My own interests and expertise lies in philosophy and ethics, but learning to learn is the same regardless of subject which involves fostering an attitude, habits and enthusiasm which should be ongoing throughout life. Happy to teach/ tutor secondary to degree levels.
I prefer tutoring to be personal, informal, and fun, whilst tailoring to the individual`s learning needs. Outside of subject specific content I am happy to tutor in essay writing, structuring, revision techniques, preparation for uni, basic research skills (time management, listening, reading), CV writing and job interviews.
Availability: Available most weekdays but will vary due to rivalling professional commitments. Best to ask.

Experience: Taught RE and citizenship at secondary school level, been a tutor for the WEA since 2014, have lectured on the religions, philosophy and ethics course at the Uni. of Glos.
