I am an ex-Head of Maths, having taught in both the state and private sector for over 30 years. In that time I taught pupils from the ages of 11 to 18 to both GCSE and A Level Mathematics. I also have some experience of tutoring younger pupils towards 11 plus entrance exams, supporting both their maths, English, verbal and non-verbal reasoning. I have an excellent track record in maximising the attainment of pupils and young adults at all levels of ability and with widely differing needs.

Availability: I am available Monday to Friday during the daytime, from 9.30am until 2.30pm. Also early evenings from 5pm until 8pm. I am happy to travel short distances during the day, but, because I have my own children, if you want an early evening slot you will have to come to my house.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: 10 years working as a full time maths teacher in a large state comprehensive school, followed by over 20 years as Head of Maths in a private school. I also spent 3 years as a school Examinations Officer. I currently work for Edexcel/Pearson as a GCSE Exam Marker.
