Information about Cinzia
Hi! I am specialised in two subjects, Music and Italian. I teach piano at the University of Birmingham and Italian Diction at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire.
I a very approachable person. My aim is to use music as a means to happiness. Everyone has the possibility to become competent and enjoy the gift of music through life, or to pursue perfection in the technique and to give voice to the subtleties of the music score.
As for the Italian language I offer a new approach on learning Italian through Phonetics and Diction, a method developed through years of teaching at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. This method is suitable for singers and professionals. or learners who want to achieve a refined pronunciation for their carriers, or whoever wants to learn Italian with the goal of speaking as a mother-tongue.

I have had two lessons with Cinzia looking at Bach 2/3 part inventions and Mendelssohn songs without words in preparation for a concert. I have loved the lessons. Her insights have brought great new dimensions to the music, unlocking it (in respect of phrasing, breathing, fingering...). I am excited about starting lessons with Cinzia and look forward to exploring more music and learning to be a better pianist.
