Hiya! My name is Tania (for short), and I will be beginning my studies in Veterinary Medicine this Autumn!

I am friendly and patient – and enjoy tutoring a lot! My main aim is to enable students to understand what they are learning and then apply it in an exam scenario. I can explain things very clearly, using a variety of approaches until a concept clicks. I build students` knowledge from the ground up. We start from the basics, understand them, learn how to apply them, then move onto something more complex. Sometimes, just a small gap in your knowledge will prevent you from understanding a concept, so I do my best to find gaps and fill them in until a concept clicks! This provides a solid foundation to branch off into new content and apply the knowledge during exam scenarios.

I achieved a clean sweep of level 9s in my GCSEs, and hold A*A*A*A* in A-level Biology, Chemistry, Physics, and an EPQ. After much hard work and perseverance, I received three conditional offers for Veterinary Medicine from the Universities of Nottingham, Liverpool, and Surrey.

Experience: Throughout my two years in college, I have done a lot of teaching and presenting. Providing both online and in-person mentoring to three A2 students enabled me to get a grip on the basics of tutoring (and showed me how much I enjoy it!). Furthermore, setting up and leading the Medical Society for prospective medicine applicants has solidified my skills.

Having participated in a veterinary university summer school and multiple workshops on how to write a good personal statement, I have built up an in-depth understanding of how to write a good personal statement. Presenting my research in the Medical Society and helping several applicants with their personal statements has made me proficient at providing tutoring in this field. I am particularly experienced in helping to write Veterinary and Medical personal statements and can guarantee brilliant results!
