Hi! I am a part-time Maths tutor with a 1st Class Master`s Degree in Civil Engineering from Imperial College London. I have over 4 years experience tutoring both GCSE and A levels and have received very positive feedback from both tutees and parents. I have also been a Teaching Assistant for the University, helping over 100 undergraduates.


In addition to tutoring, I am a Flood Risk Engineer. I chose to become an engineer because I am passionate about maths and science, particularly the problem-solving aspects of these disciplines. Civil Engineering demands a high level of maths which I have used almost daily through my studies and work. I am fascinated by the application of mathematics and using it to solve real world problems that impact everyone. I hope my passion for maths will inspire you to see the subject in a new light and grow to love it as much as I do.

As I have recently left education, I understand how demanding exams can be. I have been tutoring throughout my degree and have remained familiar with both the content and exam technique required to achieve maximum marks. I focus on helping you gain confidence and identifying weak areas in your knowledge, ultimately resulting in better exam performance.

MY TEACHING STYLE:
I have a very flexible teaching style that is tailored to each student. We will initially discuss which areas cause you the most challenges. Once these have been tackled, we can then go through a wide range of topics to push your knowledge and identify further areas of weakness. For each area I will make sure you understand the theory before working through exam style questions with you. This will give you a chance to test your knowledge and learn effective exam technique to help you gain confidence and understanding in preparation for the exams. Sessions will regularly recap previous topics to consolidate your knowledge and keep everything fresh in the mind. All sessions are highly interactive and led by the student as much as possible.
