I’m a warm, friendly English tutor who believes in building both confidence and skills. I’m currently completing a PhD in the humanities and have a genuine love for reading, writing, and helping others engage with language in meaningful ways. I’ve published work in both academic and creative non-fiction, and I enjoy creating a calm, supportive space where students can develop.

Lessons are fully tailored to each student - whether that’s analysing unseen poetry, improving essay structure, strengthening grammar, or preparing for exams. My sessions are suitable for KS3 and GCSE learners. Each hour-long lesson includes a balance of practice, discussion, and feedback to build understanding and confidence step by step.

Experience: I’ve tutored English across KS3 and GCSE (Language and Literature), and I tutor based on AQA exam questions. I support students in building key skills such as comprehension, essay structure, vocabulary, and exam technique.

Beyond tutoring, I’ve worked with children and young people in schools and libraries, helping learners of all confidence levels. My academic background provides a strong foundation in text analysis and clear writing - skills I enjoy sharing to help students progress.
