I’m Lauren and I’m a dance tutor based in Cheshire.

I taught the AQA GCSE & A-Level Dance specification in a secondary school as well as teaching contemporary dance, pom and GCSE Dance at a dance school of an evening.

After taking ISTD dance classes until the age of 18 in Tap, Ballet and Modern/contemporary I gained a First class Dance degree and then completed my PGCE in Secondary and Further Education.

I thoroughly enjoy working with young people, ensuring that they feel safe within the dance environment.

I currently tutor alongside a sport and physical activity welfare position. I deliver sessions online, in person sessions can be requested within the Cheshire/ Wirral area.

Sessions are tailored to each individuals needs and can focus on any part of the specification including sections A,B&C as well as the practical elements: set phrase, performance piece and choreography at GCSE for example.

At A-Level I am available to teach the set work Rooster as well as help with essay structuring. I am also available to help with the practical element including choreography and the solo in the style of a chosen practitioner.

I have an up to date DBS and I am mental health first aid trained.

Availability: I am available most weekday evenings and mornings of a weekend.

Experience: I also have experience of moderating and standardising performance material at GCSE level.
