I’m offering tutoring in GCSE+A Level Physics, Math and Geography, plus GCSE English. I am a first year at UCL, so I understand what current requirements are and student concerns. Having achieved A*A*A at A Level, I have helped students score several grades higher in their exams. References upon request. Please drop me a message if you’re interested!

Teaching method
I will work with the student to quickly find the problems they are experiencing with the subject, then target them using concepts in real life examples, such as current world events. I will also help tease out their strengths within the subject, and can set higher problems beyond their school level, if they are capable. I believe it is important to take advantage of what comes naturally to students, and not waste natural intuition.

I understand very well what examiners are looking for, having studied independently for all of secondary school, marking myself in dozens of papers and becoming thoroughly acquainted with the specifications.
We will walk through past paper questions together, slowly building up confidence with the techniques. The best way to learn is to genuinely enjoy learning. Throughout the sessions, my goal is for students to learn inspiring and interesting things on a personal level.

The aim is to bring them to the point where they can walk themselves through how they should approach the problem, and to foster their capacity for independent learning and their enthusiasm for understanding the world around them - it isn`t just about passing any old exam, it’s about their entire future relationship with the subject.

At every stage, it will be a team effort between me and the student. They will have a large say in what they learn from me, and how they learn. I absolutely believe that every student has got A*s in them which can be earned with a little guidance and hard work. I consider the greatest satisfaction of any teacher to be when a student achieves levels of accomplishment that they did not previously think they were capable of doing, all while sharing the same rich passion for the subject.
