Enthusiastic, empathetic, experienced EFL tutor. Also fluent French (confident to teach to GCSE level). Extensive work with SEN students with differences such as dyslexia, autism, Down Syndrome, Emotional And Behavioural, sight impairment, hearing impairment. I am a qualified yoga and mindfulness teacher realising the importance of managing stress particularly in relation to study and the challenges young people and adults face in everyday life.

Experience: 12 years EFL experience CELTA grade B. I have delivered ESOL/EFL/EAP to students from aged 4 to 84 in a variety of settings schools, colleges, factories, community centres and on a one to one basis. Most recent post until May this year was as EAL coordinator at an independent boys grammar school teaching chinese students all four skills on a regular basis on a flexible timetable. I have experience of assessment, lesson planning and delivery, task setting and immediate marking and relevant feedback. I have coached students through all aspects of the GCSE English language and literature syllabuses whilst improving vocabulary and grammar knowledge with particular emphasis on practical application. I have extensive experience in the IELTS process and have resources to help students achieve their best possible score. Whilst the academic aspect is paramount to most students with english as an additional or second language I also teach English culture and customs, look at history and flag up topical issues and annual celebrations to provide a complete service in the delivery of the English language in context. Additionally I aim to supply a personal service to each of my students and tailor programmes of study to the individual need. Motivation and fun are important tools to keep students interested and hungry to learn more. I am a psychology graduate with an upper class 2 honours from Loughborough University and hold a language diploma in French and spanish from the University of South Glamorgan. I hold the world renowned CELTA grade B. I am currently learning Mandarin. I have experience of working with SEN students and am able to spot signs of certain differences and can adapt programmes accordingly.
