I am a very experience, qualified teacher of English. I aim to create a positive, encouraging and welcoming environment in order to build up students’ confidence. As well as aiding students to achieve their goals, I also help them to discover the joy in studying English and ignite students` enthusiasm for the subject.

Availability: I am available during the day as well as evenings.

Experience: Over a career spanning over 30 years, I worked in a variety of roles in secondary schools in the Bath and Bristol areas including Head of English and Head of Year. In that time, I acquired considerable experience teaching English across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5. Since September 2021, I have been working exclusively as a tutor with individuals and small groups.

As both a teacher in school and a tutor, I have considerable experience of working with students with SEND including SEMH. I have in depth knowledge of the AQA and Eduqas GCSE specifications in English Language and Literature. I have a particular interest and expertise in A-Level English Language.
