Information about Vince
I am an enthusiastic, passionate Geographer who developed the love of Geography through extensive travel. It is through relating themes of Physical, Human and Environmental Geography to my own personal experiences that I am able to bring the subject alive for my pupils.
I entered education relatively late having spent over twenty years working in banking. Time management, strategy and project management play a part in how I teach; I will set goals with my pupils and together we will work towards them.
Geography is my passion and I love it. I want my pupils to have that same passion and have fun with it too.
Availability: I am available evenings between 7pm and 9pm and Saturday mornings between 9am and 12noon.
I can be available 7 days a week at certain times, for example in the run up to examinations.
I use the Google suit of applications including Google Classroom which allows me to set work remotely and give feedback real-time.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: I have over 20 years experience working various banking roles, primarily Operations and Project Management. Following a 4 year sabbatical travelling the globe I completed a BSc in Geography attaining a 2:1. I then went on work in a large, co-education state secondary school as a cover supervisor before training as a Geography teacher. I have a PGCE and have QTS.
I have taught up to GCSE in the state system and have been the Head of Geography in a top Independent Prep School, teaching up to Common Entrance and Scholarship.
