I`m passionate about teaching BSL as its a beautiful language to learn! I`m deaf and have been a signer all my life. I enjoy in helping people to gain their BSL skills and become confidence, both in class and online.

I`m very loyal, easy going person and have good sense of humour! I can put people in ease and I`m a good listener too, happy to answer any questions you may have, flexible in many ways too.

Currently teach BSL beginners course/ Level 1 & 2 Accredited course at York College..

Availability: Monday to Friday, day or evenings I can be flexible. Can do Saturdays,if possible. (I work two Saturdays a month)

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I have worked in the past as a BSL Teaching Assistant supporting deaf children in their lessons and activities and I have gained Level 3 in Award in Education and Training (old PTLLS) and Level 2 & 3 in British Sign language. I also teach Deaf Awareness Training occasionally.

I have an other role as Parent Liaison Officer for `Lollipop` a charity which we offer deaf and hard of hearing children activities and day trips and their parents too, I offer support and advice to parents with their concerns and needs.
