Information about Archana
COVID-19 UPDATE: I am happy to visit students at home if that is more convenient and wear a mask during the lesson. I keep my own hand sanitiser, which I use regularly.
I graduated from London School of Economics (LSE) having studied Accounting & Finance. I have always been very passionate and enthusiastic about Mathematics, it has always my favourite subject at school. I was lucky to have some amazing inspirational teachers who took their time to explain topics thoroughly and pushed students who showed interest and capability. I`d love to be able to help other students in a similar way.
I am able to tutor in Mitcham, Tooting Broadway and the surrounding areas. I am happy to travel (within reason) to the student or meet at an appropriate convenient location.
I can tutor in the following subjects:
-Mathematics (Edexcel) at GCSE, IGCSE and
-Mathematics (Edexcel) AS/A2 Levels (C1, C2, C3, C4, S1, M1)
-Further Mathematics (Edexcel) at AS Level (FP1, M2, D1)
I studied the above subjects myself and am therefore, familiar with them.
Availability: Weekdays = I am available after I finish work at 5/5.30pm
Weekends = Flexible
Willing to travel: 5 miles
Experience: I have been tutoring since 2012. I use a variety of resources including worked examples, past papers questions, mini tests and worksheets as well as online resources.
During my second year at LSE, I volunteered as a classroom assistant within the Mathematics department at Elizabeth Garrett Anderson School in Islington. During secondary school, I also helped many fellow students in lunch breaks and after school as well as tutoring my siblings often covering a topic from scratch. All of this has helped me develop patience and understanding of how students think and the common mistakes and misconceptions that they have.
