Hi! I have two cats, Alfie and Alice, both were rescued at 6 months old, who we all love in our family. My daughter is 18 and my son is 15. I love to travel and experience new things. When I was younger, I travelled to LA, Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. In South Africa, I met my husband. In my spare time, I keep fit by playing cricket (summer months) and going swimming and the gym. I also enjoy going to gigs, especially ones in Bristol, it is good to support local artists. I am neurodiverse, ADHD, like my son, which I think is great as I understand the challenges and rewards this brings.

Availability: I am pretty flexible, so I have made my availability open so that I can support the learning of students who may prefer a flexible learning timetable.

Experience: Twenty seven years of teaching in primary, secondary and special needs schools, including senior leadership posts. My passion and expertise is teaching and supporting young people who have challenges, be it social, ASD, ADHD, PDA, trauma, medical barriers. I understand how hard it is for young people to be at school or engage in any type of learning until there is a trusted connection and mutual respect. My teaching follows the PACE approach and trauma informed teaching style.` The students I have successfully taught, have gone on to achieve English qualifications and are now at college. My approach to teaching is through understanding the academic and social needs, as both are as important as each other.
